Benefits of Gypsum Recycling Ireland's System

With Gypsum Recycling Ireland's unique technology and system, recycling of gypsum waste has now become a financially viable solution.
Recycling will help the Irish construction /demolition companies to recover gypsum products at lower costs than landfill.
Recycling will improve the environmental image of the construction /demolition industry.
EU Directives 31 and 33 (Apr. 1999 and Dec. 2002) in which gypsum waste has been classified as non-inert will require industry to sort segregate the material prior to disposal as outlined in the EPA's Waste Acceptance criteria for new landfill sites, increasing the cost to the industry.
Gypsum Recycling Ireland provides an environmental and cost effective solution. The system has a proven track record in Europe. It is already implemented, fully operational and benefiting customers environmentally throughout Scandinavia.
It is a complete system with all the necessary elements; collection system/containers, logistics system, mobile recycling unit and end users that can benefit from the recycled materials.
The recycling unit separates all contaminants from the plasterboard and separates the gypsum powder from the paper to provide a 98% clean gypsum material for re-use within the industry.

All gypsum/plasterboard waste can be recycled

The system from Gypsum Recycling Ireland is capable of handling all kinds of gypsum blocks and plasterboard waste, not just waste from new constructions:
